Are wives of veterans eligible for VA benefits? Yes and no. Now, they cannot purchase a home without the veteran on there, but as the wife, They can purchase a home with the veteran and get the benefits of a zero down property. That being said they can also continue if something would happen to the veteran, they could continue to maintain that mortgage and pay it out throughout, through its term as not doing payable if the veteran happens to not be around anymore.
